Q: What is Providence Point?
A: Providence Point is a new LifeCare community for the South Hills area of Allegheny County near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a LifeCare community, Providence Point is committed to providing the finest housing, hospitality and health care services to residents at a stable and predictable Monthly Fee. Providence Point will include both single family patio homes and apartment residences in a beautiful neighborhood setting.

Q: Who will own and operate Providence Point?
A: The community is sponsored by and affiliated with Baptist Homes Society, Inc., a not-for-profit Pennsylvania non-stock corporation serving the Pittsburgh area since 1910. Baptist Homes Society, Inc. is a faith-based organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The board establishes the vision, mission and values and provides financial and operational oversight for the organization and its subsidiaries.

Q: When is construction of Providence Point going to be complete?
A: It is anticipated the number of reservations required to start construction will be attained in 2006. It will take approximately two years to complete Providence Point construction, comprising more than 700,000 square feet of planned building space. It is anticipated residents will move into the community in late 2008/early 2009.

Q: What kind of fees will residents of Providence Point pay?
A: As with most not-for-profit retirement communities, residents of Providence Point will pay a one-time Entrance Fee, then a Monthly Fee upon moving into the community. The Entrance Fee provides the residents use of the residence and commons area and provides for their future long-term health care needs within the community. As a LifeCare community, a portion of both the Entrance Fee and Monthly Fee may be deducted for tax purposes. The Entrance Fee and Monthly Fee vary based on the size of residence chosen.

Q: What amenities are available for residents?
A: A host of amenities is planned for Providence Point, including a Wellness Center with indoor swimming pool and whirlpool spa, multiple dining venues, a Day Spa, a surround-sound movie theater, a library with Internet access, banking, a classroom, an arts studio, an indoor golf simulator, and much more. Q: What is included in the Monthly Fee?
A: Virtually everything you could desire! Dining, a wide range of cultural, recreational, spiritual and fitness activities, housekeeping every other week, maintenance, Wellness Center access, LifeCare, scheduled transportation, and more. Click here to view all included services.

Q: What health care services are covered by the Monthly Fee?
A: Providence Point is committed to community wellness and to meeting a wide range of health care needs. Our long-term health care services will meet the highest standards and will be offered in the finest environment in the area. Our specialized LifeCare program provides private assisted living, private residences for memory support (Alzheimers / dementia) and private nursing care accommodations. Additionally, Providence Point residents can access an on-site resident clinic. Out-patient services offered through the resident clinic will include a variety of physician, dental, and therapy services. There is no obligation to use the clinic and residents are free to engage a health care provider of their choice.

Q: Is the Entrance Fee or Monthly Fee subject to change?
A: Both the Entrance Fee and Monthly Fee are reviewed annually by the Board of Directors and management and will be adjusted based on actual operating costs and sound financial practices. A 30-day written notice will be provided to all Providence Point residents in advance of any increase. You may “lock in” your Entrance Fee at today’s rates for a move in the future.
