Whether you take advantage of one of our LifeCare options, or experience our Rehabilitation programs directly from your home or the hospital, you will find exceptional services. Providence Point offers a full range of rehabilitative therapies—in an award-winning setting—that help maintain or restore the highest degree of independence possible for our residents. Therapy services available to residents include physical, occupational and speech therapies, delivered in our well-equipped therapy department, in the Wellness Center, or in the resident's room. Our physiatrist coordinates and oversees therapies for all residents requiring rehabilitation. Collaboration between skilled therapists and wellness programming begins at the onset of treatment for each resident.  Rehabilitative services are available for both short-term and long-term stays in our Healthcare Residence.

Physical Therapy
Physical therapists provide evaluation, treatment, and ongoing reassessment to improve mobility, decrease pain, and enhance strength and endurance. Specialized treatment assists residents with regaining the level of functioning they enjoyed prior to surgery, accident or illness. This allows for the highest level of independence in any setting.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists help individuals of all ages who have physical, developmental, emotional and social deficits. Occupational therapy specializes in teaching skills that enable residents to lead more independent, productive and satisfying lives.

Speech Therapy
Speech language specialists provide ongoing treatment that includes screening, evaluation and therapy for language, voice, articulation, fluency disorders and cognitive impairment deficits. The speech therapist also specializes in treating dysphagia, or swallowing disorders, as a critical component of overall therapeutic treatment.
